Baldwin Wallace students blend public health and art in dance show
This spring, the BW theatre and dance community came together to present "fyoo zh en," the annual dance concert combining choreography with faculty member research. This year's show was inspired by Dr. Swagata Banik's National Institutes of Health-funded public health study "Project SHAKTI: Stigma reduction, Healthcare provider Awareness and Knowledge enhancement on Transgender issues in India."

Coastal Carolina University student mentors of the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program hosted their mentees on CCU's campus on Friday, March 23, to give a real college experience to Horry County elementary and middle school students. Cole Porter's classic musical "Anything Goes" was given new life by director James Beaudry and the enthusiastic cast and crew of this positively playful production. When nightclub singer-turned-evangelist Reno Sweeney boards the S.S. American with her colorful cohorts, it's anything but smooth sailing. Mayhem and mischief ensue as the stage comes alive with star-crossed lovers, mistaken identities and good old-fashioned Broadway fun.

Eastern's Club Ice Hockey Team Season Comes to a Close
The Eastern Connecticut State University men's club ice hockey team made sure their season didn't end without a good effort. Down two goals to Norwich University in the regional tournament semifinals, the team mounted a comeback and forced the game to overtime. Although Eastern lost the game, the Warriors showed the same fight that has made them a championship contender year in and year out. Ending the year at 16-6-1, the team posted the sixth-best winning percentage out of 62 teams in the northeast conference of the American College Hockey Association.

Cedar Crest College Carmen Twillie Ambar Sophomore Expedition
Cedar Crest College's Sophomore Expedition is a unique program that allows every sophomore who is in good academic and judicial standing to study abroad during spring break at no extra cost. This year's trip is to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from March 3 to March 11, 2018. Travel, lodging and meals are paid for by an anonymous alum. Minus the cost of a passport and visa, it won't cost students anything beyond their regular semester tuition, room and board, and fees.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken, this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
